Music...MAGIC

So I am sure everyone has heard that music is magical. Which, I definitely have to agree with. It can change your mood almost instantly. You can be t i r e d and cranky... and then you hear your favorite song and just like that you are happy and full of energy!
You know what I am talking about. Whether its Sting, Coldplay, Nora Jones, Jack Johnson, Colbie Caillat, or Rascal Flatts...you know the magic that happens whenever you hear them. Whoever your favorite artist is.
Well, let me tell you about an evening filled with music magic.

It all began on February 26th, 2009.

It was 6:35 pm. I had just finished an entire Cafe Rio burrito at dinner with my dad. We stopped and filled the car with gas. I dropped my dad off at home, and hit the road.
First stop- Aaron's house. Brock and Aaron were so anxious they were already out the door when I pulled into the neighborhood...literally.
We picked up the rest of the crew and the magic began. Rascal Flatts danced through the speakers and filled the whole car with excitment and anxiety. We were minutes away from hearing this...
"I miss mayberry sittin on the porch drinkin ice cold cherry coke watchin the clouds roll by...I melt everytime you look at me that way...Tell me that its not just me...Theres a place in your heart nobodys been take me there...Cuz I love to love you out loud...Wipe your hands shake it off then you stand...Some say we're a couple of crazy kids!"
...LIVE.
As we pulled into the parking garage we nearly jumped out of the car before it was even stopped. We ran (literally sprinted) up the stairs of the Energy Solutions Arena and rushed through the doors.
After settling into our seats, freshly bought Rascal Flatts Tour shirts in hand, ice waters in the cupholders, endless pictures taken...

...the lights finally dimmed.
"BAM!" an explosion of fire and loud bangs welcomed the long anticipated guests. And they decended from what I thought must have been heaven by the sound of their voices...

The stage was amazing. The voices were amazing. The songs were amazing. The performance was amazing. The night was amazing. But without my friends...it wouldn't have been half as amazing. That's the cool part- music is amazing. But when you have someone to share it with, then it becomes magical.

...And as you can see- my night was filled with the magic of music.
