Proud to be an American?

The Fourth of July. Such big expectations. Breakfasts, parades, boating, hiking, movies, BBQ's, swimming, parties, fireworks. Isn't that what its all about?
A celebration?
No. Well. Yes. And no. Celebrating our independence? Yes. Celebrating our rights, our privileges, our freedoms? Yes.
But No. That's not what its all about. That's not the only celebration. At least not for me.
Yes, its true-
I celebrate the fact that I am an American. And I am proud of that. I celebrate the fact that I have a home to live in, that I can have say in what goes on in my country.
But, especially this year, I celebrate the fact that I not only have friends I love and who love me, but more importantly that I have a family who does as well.
My Fourth of July was filled with celebration. It even included the traditional breakfast, parade, boating, bbq, and fireworks..

But it would not have been much of a celebration, if I didn't have my family here to celebrate with me.

So yes, I am proud to be an American.
But I also am proud to be the youngest of an amazing family that I can honestly say I am excited to spend eternity with.

So true Rach! That is why I love the 4th too. Well, that, and I actually really love homemade ice cream and fireworks.

Well spoken, as always. Keep up the blog!

Love the picture of you and Juli.
