868.

Today is a special day.
20 years ago, my best friend was born.
20 years ago God looked down and knew, without a doubt, how much I would need him.
And I have.

For the past five years of my life there hasn't been a day he wasn't there for. A CD he didn't have. An opinion he didn't voice. No matter what. He was there to make me laugh when no other soul could possibly muster a smile out of me. He was there to listen to me talk and cry when....quite frankly, no one else wanted to take the time.

So Brocky, I want to share some of my favorite things about you on your special day.
Going to lunch blasting Rascal Flatts every day in high school.
You begging us to go to the Black Pond....every night. And us being too terrified to go.
Concerts. No matter who or where, all of them were some of the best nights of my life.
Singing to Jordan Sparks all Christmas break. When it wasn't even a Christmas song.
New music.
Your Aeropostale sweats.
Begging you to put lotion on your hands to get rid of your millions of hang nails.
Drives. Through the canyon. To the "beach." Down an old dirt road.
Sitting by my fireplace together- unthawing- after a long day of walking around campus.
Eating Sunday dinners.
Your mashed potatoes.
Lake Powell 2010. Enough said.
Dynamite.
Fastbreaks.
Christmas street.
Dance Parties.
Laughing too hard at whatever we wanted. For hours.
You. Everything about you.

Thanks for the memories. Thanks for serving the Lord. Thanks for changing my life.
"Really though."

So to Seattle,
You have no idea just how lucky you are to have him. Take care of him. Keep him safe. Bring him home.

And to you Elder Brock,

This is me wishing you a happy birthday from 868 miles away.
I love and miss you, and am so proud of you.
